A Bernie Sanders supporter who was caught on video discussing his support for terrorism in pursuit of his leftist revolutionary ends is now running for a position of authority within the Democrat Party of Michigan. Far-left activist Kyle Jurek is running for a spot on the Michigan Democrat Party State Central Committee where he would have a say in the day-to-day affairs of the Michigan Democrats. Jurek is blaming alcohol for his unhinged and violent rhetoric to Project Veritas reporters as he attempts to curry Democrat support. “Lots of things can be said after four shots of Jameson that we wouldn’t normally say,” Jurek said.
“I feel like in Michigan and around the country, I have a lot of respect in progressive circles. What happened with Project Veritas was an unfortunate situation. We’re all familiar with it… I’m still fighting for progressive policies and values,” he added. Even though the Democrat Party is shifting rapidly toward the Left, some constituents- such as Democrat precinct delegate Riley Vermilya- are not happy electing an unabashed radical like Jurek into a position of leadership. “I was horrified,” Vermilya told MIRS about her reaction to Jurek’s candidacy for a state committee post. “I don’t want him anywhere near my group.” Read more…
