Donald Trump made a notable appearance at UFC 302 on Saturday night, where he was greeted with a huge ovation from fans at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The crowd eagerly awaited the main event featuring Dustin Poirier challenging for Islam Makhachev’s UFC Lightweight Championship. Trump entered the arena alongside UFC president Dana White and took a moment to greet comedian Theo Von, shaking hands and waving to supporters as he made his way to his seat near the Octagon.

This appearance was one of Trump’s first public outings since being found guilty on all counts in a New York criminal trial just days earlier. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg had charged Trump with 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree, to which Trump pleaded not guilty.

Trump was vocal about the trial, calling it “a disgrace” and “a rigged trial by a conflicted judge who was corrupt as a rigged trial and disgrace.” He criticized the lack of a venue change, citing the district’s overwhelming bias against him. “We were at five percent or 6% in this district, in this area. This was a rigged, disgraceful trial,” Trump said. He emphasized that the real verdict would come on November 5th, when the people have their say.

The former president also pointed to the involvement of a Soros-backed district attorney and described the case as politically motivated. “We didn’t do anything wrong. I’m a very innocent man. And it’s okay. I’m fighting for our country. I’m fighting for our Constitution. Our whole country is being rigged right now,” Trump declared. He asserted that the case was orchestrated by the Biden administration to damage a political opponent.

Trump expressed his determination to continue fighting, stating, “We’ll fight till the end and we’ll win because our country’s gone to hell. We don’t have the same country anymore. We have a divided mess. We’re a nation of decline, serious decline.” He highlighted the influx of people entering the country, including criminals, mental institution patients, and terrorists, warning that these individuals are taking over the nation.

In his closing remarks, Trump reiterated his belief that the trial was flawed from the start, “with a conflicted judge who should have never been allowed to try this case. Never.” He reaffirmed his commitment to defending the Constitution and assured supporters that the fight is far from over.

Trump has been a regular attendee at UFC events, maintaining a close friendship with Dana White, who has been a vocal supporter of Trump, even speaking at the 2016 Republican National Convention in his favor.
